Hey! It's Caitlyn and I'm so excited to be spending the next couple of minutes with you...

Welcome to my personal radio journey! I graduated Radio school in 2021 with a diploma in Radio, Television, and Broadcast News at SAIT in Calgary, Alberta. My radio journey has lead me to Edmonton, Alberta where I was able to explore more of my Morning Show Producer side and transition into a new role as a Promotions & Digital Media Coordinator for 100.3 The Bear, 104.9 Virgin Radio, and former TSN1260 & Weekend On-Air host at Virgin Radio Edmonton! I was given so many opportunities once I made the move to Edmonton and I'm so grateful to have had a job that allowed me to experience both the programming & promotions side of Radio. Being on-air was just the cherry on top of the cake, it allowed me to explore who I am & create a really good social media presence. I never thought the kind of impact I would have when I started in Edmonton, around the office I was known as the "catalyst", "go to for news" and "digital Cait"! I tried to help out in any area that I could, whether it was being an extra hand to help film videos for artists interviews, posting social media for promotions, or just answering any and all questions someone may have about a social media platform. I've been extremely lucky to work with so many people who trust my creative abilities and LOVE the content I produce! Now, I've found myself all the way in Nickel City aka Sudbury, Ontario. I recently made the transition to Ontario over a year ago when my husband got a job out here and I was fortunate enough to continue working my role as the Promotions & Digital Media Coordinator in Edmonton remotely out of the Bell Media offices here in Sudbury for an 8 month period. I'm incredibly grateful for the experience Edmonton provided me with as I transitioned out of the major market into a much smaller market when I began my role as the Promotions Coordinator for Pure Country 91.7 and CTV News Northern Ontario. Now, I'm able to use the skills I've learned from Edmonton into this new role here in Sudbury where I've been able to take on more of an "acting manager" role. At first I was nervous I didn't have it in me to market and create new ideas for integration on both our radio and television sides, but with the skills and abilities I've gained over the course of my radio career so far, I've beyond exceeded my own expectations. I now can officially say I have TV experience, since starting in this new role I've been asked to fill in as a TV reporter for pre-taped segments & field produce for multiple commercial like promotions for TV as well as step in as the Live Link & Field Producer for the CTV News Lion's Christmas Telethon. Before making the move to Edmonton & Sudbury though, my journey began all the way to Kingston, Ontario where I worked as a Morning Show Producer for The Brock And Dalby Show. Working for a regional show in 4 station markets had it's challenges and was a huge learning experience and I was extremely lucky to be able to start my career there. Not very many people get to say they started their radio career working for a regional show.

When I started out in radio I had no idea where the journey would have taken me. I thought all I wanted to be was a "jock." If I'm honest though, I've grown a true love for the behind the scenes work, it takes a village to make a radio station run and there's more faces behind the things people hear. Recently my duties have really allowed me to explore my social media side, it's become a true passion of mine and I can confidently say I've become very social media minded in the areas it's been helpful for me. It takes courage to put yourself on the internet and it's definitely not easy at times, but I think that's what makes social media a very special tool and important tool in the world of Radio!

When I'm not working in Radio I'm also a Coach to gymnasts, a youth leader at my church, I run multiple social media accounts and I'm very dedicated to my faith. I recently got married and it was the best decision I could have ever made, mostly because the things my husband does sometimes makes for great radio content (lol).

I know this has been a lot of information and I look forward to showing you what I can do!
